That’s me, I’m Katie the founder of Kaptivates. The photo was taken by my lovely dad who is the reason I adore photography! Some of my earliest memories are with my dad teaching me how to use the ‘big camera’ and I’m not sure I’ve put it down since! Whether it’s a holiday, day trip to the Lakes or a walk-up Beacon Fell, there is always a camera in my hand! 

I’ve always loved looking over family pictures; at a family wedding, when I was younger, I completely fell in love with the idea of capturing amazing images for a living! If you ever speak to any member of my family, they will assure you I've been telling anyone who will listen to me that “I'm a photographer” since I was about six! 

I have always been a people person and love the idea of capturing the key moments in people’s lives. From new arrivals in the family to other big moments like weddings, graduations and birthdays. Memories are precious and deserve to be documented.
